Here are the steps:
1. Get Barangay Clearance and Cedula from the barangay where you live. In Brgy M. Sapa barangay clearance and cedula costs P40 each, so it will be a total of P80. You need to go personally because your picture will be taken and will be included in the clearance.
2. Go to Sta. Maria Municipal Hall and pay for the official receipt (P40) in window 13 or 15 and say it is for police clearance.
3. Proceed to the police station beside the Municipal Hall. You don't need to go inside the police station, you can see it outside at the right corner. (P100 for local employment and P150 if it is for abroad).

How to get NBI clearance in Marilao Bulacan
There are two options in getting NBI clearance, you can apply online http://clearance.nbi.gov.ph or you may go directly to Marilao Municipal Hall. I suggest that you go directly to the Municipal Hall because when you apply online you have to pay to the accredited bank or bayad center with an additional charge of P25.
Here are the steps:
1. First you need to get a Cedula (it is a requirement). Just ask where you can get it. Sometimes there are some personnel in front of the municipal hall if there are a lot of people applying. Cedula is P25 in Marilao..
2. For renewal you need to bring your old NBI clearance and proceed to "step 1" (you can see this sign in front of the municipal hall). You will be given a number and they will stamped it at the back of your cedula. If you are applying for a new one, you need to get online reference number which you can get from the personnel at the front. They are the ones with the laptop. They say you have to pay P10 for this. The reference number will be written at the back of your cedula, then you can now proceed to step 1.
3. Step 2 is payment time! You have to pay P115, same amount for local and abroad.
4. Step 3 is the process where in your photo and thumbmarks will be taken. If you do not have a "HIT" (meaning you do not have the same name with other people) you can get your NBI clearance on the same day. If you have, they will put a date at the back of the receipt (usually 3 days) when you can get you clearance.
